You need an excellent team or “the butlers”?

Who could guarantee that they will function optimally and act innovatively for facing today’s challenges, which is tremendously dynamic, if they were never free to express themselves like a free human being, healthy in mind and soul?

It’s part of an existential pain. Is it not that our spirits have an appointment to meet with Eternity? What would God say if we let our spirituality freeze in our own illusions, then inappropriately put in “serving” like Mr. Stevens the butler?

Creativity and innovation congestion, or bottleneck, among executives and team leaders in any organization indicates that they have been treated like butlers all this time.

The reality that is faced by many organizations today includes loose emotional connectedness between team leaders and within teams. Collaboration is difficult to realize. The boss says that engagement is good, but results are far below expectation. The trauma after pandemic, social distancing, and remote work is often blamed as the culprit.

Some organizations that treat humans as they are and respect human dignity, only need a few adjustments to continue optimal work amid recent unstable situation. They managed to remove the mentality of Mr. Stevens the butler, especially among the executives and team leaders, to work effectively as humans, with their own expressions and complexity. It is most effective when the boss acts as an example by making the change first.

This shows the importance of building an Authentic Leadership Model (ALM) and implementing it in everyday life. You have a privilege to choose growing as a human being with all the dimensions, complexity, and God-given potential.

By adopting ALM, we would give clarity to who we are, what values we are developing, the results we are expecting, how we are treating ourselves and others as well as how to be more effective in human-to-human interactions, across any cultural and race background. It helps our existential flexibility to thrive in today’s reality.
